HORIZON SYNCHRO: The First PET Synchronous Compressor
HORIZON SYNCHRO is the first high pressure PET compressor built around a permanent magnet synchronous motor coupled directly to the crankshaft. There is no gearbox and no belts, so there are no transmission losses and nothing to maintain between the motor and the compressor. Air quality is ISO 8573-1 Class 1 for oils and particles, with a Class 0 certificate available project by project, and the range carries a lifetime mechanical warranty (ask us for the conditions).
Permanent Magnet IE5 Motor
- Motor efficiency above 97%, with motor losses reduced by more than 20% compared to IE3 induction motors.
- Synchronous operation: motor speed equals compressor speed, with constant torque across the whole speed range.
- No belts, no gearbox, no radial loads on the motor, so transmission maintenance disappears.
Variable Speed Drive as Standard
- An average of 30% energy savings while regulating, and up to 82% during idle times.
- Starting current equals nominal current, so there are no starting peaks, and the machine regulates from 100% down to 18%.
- Average payback in less than 2 years, since about 80% of a compressor's 10 year cost is energy.
Horizontal Opposed, Double Acting Design
- Cylinders are horizontally opposed with crankpins displaced by 180 degrees, cancelling the inertia loads: virtually no vibration, and no vibration pads or special foundations required.
- Double acting cylinders with a minimum of 2 suction and 2 discharge valves per stage, so a single valve failure never stops the machine.
- Zero leakage crankcase, a 20 year machine lifetime and the longest service cycle in the market, at every 8,000 hours.
The First True Digital Compressor
Control and automation are fully digital from a single HMI, with cloud monitoring and predictive maintenance built in. The control desk reads air, water and oil temperatures and pressures per stage, motor temperature and dryer dew point, and the drains operate automatically, so the package runs without manometers and without manual draining.
One Machine, High and Low Pressure: HORIZON SYNCHRO DUO
The DUO configuration compresses 100% high pressure, 100% low pressure, or both at the same time from one machine, adapting automatically to production demand. One compressor where you needed two means lower maintenance, a smaller footprint and lower total cost of ownership.
